where the sun holds sway among the daffodils

I managed to get out for a walk this lunchtime to Glasgow Green and the sun shone warm on my skin. Warm enough to take my jacket off. The blackbirds were frisky, a wee jenny wren trilled from the hedgerow. Crocuses unclasped their colours to this sudden Spring day. By some bare branched trees the sun picked out daffodils solemnly nodding their assent to the day. And I am grateful to them for giving me the nod, for there have been times when I couldn't see the swaying bloom, hear the birds sing. I am grateful to be thinking of what my Blip for today might be. I am grateful to be here, now.
