Yum, yum

Almost a full day off. Spent the morning trying to get my replacement robes sorted then went over to see a friend, JulesB. We went to Lady Green nature reserve first for a walk around the lakes. Lots of geese around and some good shots. 

We tried to go for a pub lunch but they said we would have to wait for an hour to be served. It was such a nice sunny day and quite warm so we had a change of plan, grabbed some sandwiches, and took them to Formby Woods for a picnic. The squirrel walk was next on our list. At first we thought we'd be unlucky but then we spotted a row of people at the fence. There were about eight squirrels running around and they didn't stop very long. We spent quite a bit of time there, mostly taking blurred shots but we got a few good ones. We had just given up and moved on when we spotted this fellow, nice and still, munching on his lunch, much easier to photograph!

We treated ourselves to an ice cream to celebrate. Who would have thought we would have been out without a coat, having a picnic and enjoying ice creams in February! 

After viewing our photos at JulesB's house I returned home and then went straight out to do a hospital visit. Back home now to put my feet up. Thanks JulesB for a great afternoon.
