Earthquake memories
Yesterday was the eighth anniversary of our Christchurch earthquake, which has changed the face of our city, as well as causing considerable loss of life. We still put flowers in our road cones, and yes, we still have road cones. The rebuild continues, as do road and sewer repairs. Much has been done, but we still have a way to go. There are some poor people still fighting with their insurers for a fair payout. Hopefully ten years may see us able to put most of it behind us.
