Pro Puijo

I and my wife took part in a protest against the expansion of the golf-course at Puijo. The expansion part of the course would require quite a lot of clear-cutting of old forest next to the nature conservation area. It would also damage the cultural landscape of Konttila farm. A large area of Puijo area would be reserved for a very limited number of people who can afford using it. Until now most of the area can be used for running, hiking, mountain biking etc by anyone, for free. The golf-course already is there but I don't see a reason to make it larger at cost of other activities and the unique nature of the area. There's a larger and better golf-course just 20 minutes drive out of town.
