Pride
Don’t talk to me about pride. I wrote the book on pride. Was a time when that was all I had. I had pride for breakfast, self-respect for lunch and attitude for dinner. I wouldn’t let anyone help me. My pride wouldn’t let anyone help me. But there are times when pride becomes arrogance. My pride got in the way of what other people wanted to do. What they needed to do. So let me help you now and, someday, when you are on your feet, you pay it back by helping someone who needs it like you need it now.
