Decoration

Some blocks of flats in town are decorated rather more than others. I noticed this corner window on Barclay Terrace; the other windows and chimney stacks on the block all bear these foliate panels in some form and one bears the escutcheon with initials of the builder, AC. 
On the main road nearby on Barclay Place,  is another block similarly, but more ornately, decorated with the addition of a larger panel of the initials AC, also the extra information of a date, 1885.
