A Day Worth Recording

Back Tor

Out for a walk with S.  The chosen location being somewhere that he can't normally access by public transport or bike, so we set off to the northeast of the Ladybower reservoir.

Straightforward path out to Back Tor, then off across the moors to where there was supposed to be a path back along one of the tributaries of the Derwent.  Eventually found something that might have been a path, or just some bent grass, but followed it anyway.  It did connect with a more recognisable worn path after a while, not that a few inches beside a plummetable slope really counts as a path in my book.

Still, a glorious walk of about 10 miles (according to Mr Google) - dampened a bit by drizzle for the last mile.

Extra's are worth a look.
