Rugby Fans ...
… French, of course, at the huge Stade de France in Paris for this afternoon's match against Scotland, in the third round of Six Nations Rugby. France won decisively, to fans' great relief after the team's losses in the first two rounds (especially to Wales after leading 16-0 going into the second half). The second match of the day was Wales at home in Cardiff against England; Wales won going away, 23-13 (after 3-10 at the half). Both matches were great fun--especially Wales's final try ("touchdown") with a kicked forward pass (in our football it would have been from the left 30-yard line to the 5-yard line on the right. Marylee and I enjoy rugby much more than American football. Action is mostly continuous, there's constant passing (backward laterals), frequent kicking, and much scrambling on hands-and-knees after broken tackles.
