Visited the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath today and found a portraitist at work in the gallery. Very interesting to watch her starting a portrait of her sitter, stepping back with almost every stroke to see what mark needing making next.

The permanent collection in the gallery was very interesting too - lots to look at and admire.

We then went on a walking tour of the city’s highlights. And the day was topped off with a lovely Greek meal and a trip to the Theatre Royal to see an excellent Noel Coward play. A tiring day but worth it.
