Mist, frost and panic....

as the Partridge race along the road in front of the car. There were at least fifteen in the covey and they insist on sticking to the same route as the traveller! Hares do the same!
The lochans were iced over, but the sun came up and melted the ground frost and burnt off the mist shortly after this shot.
Then, all the birds are back! Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Curlew and Skylarks,
wonderful to hear and see them.
Had a great walk, not a sound apart from the birds.
Saw four Red Hinds, a pair of Black Grouse and a Hare too.
