Hazelhead

After the last couple of days and nights excesses, we took our time getting organised this morning and had a lazy breakfast.

Headed into Hazelhead park this afternoon where the beautiful weather had brought out many families enjoying the sunshine. We wandered happily round the various paths and ended up in the Piper Alpha memorial garden - such a poignant reminder of a terrible tragedy to read the names and ages of the men who perished on that terrible day in 1988.

After a late lunch in the cafe we picked up her daughter and have spent the afternoon relaxing in and around the caravan.

About to head back into Aberdeen for dinner with my Sister in law and her husband so thought I’d post this early.
