Chawton House

I took a friend to visit Chawton House today as 'they' had opened their tranquil gardens for visitors to see the carpets of snowdrops.
We also toured the house which used to belong to Jane Austen's brother.  (It houses a library of early women writers)
Jane also lived some of her life in the village of Chawton and the Jane Austen museum is also open to visitors.
