Choosing a car

My 7-seater car needs replacing with something smaller...  but how much smaller... I couldn't decide.  Should I go for something that Sam could learn to drive on... or not?

Finally decided I liked a 1 year old Peugeot 2008, then got home and decided it was too big.  So we're back to square 1.  Any recommendations folks?
