"Winter Heatwave"

Is this a heatwave?  The World Meterological Organisation says more than 5 consecutive days of maximum temps exceeding the average by 5 degrees C.  It must be close to that now.

It was 2 degrees C when I left the house this morning and 14 degrees C at lunchtime (see extra).  It was very warm in the sunshine and no coat needed today.  What a contrast to last year when we were preparing for snow!
