Yet another wildlife blip...

... from Gran Canaria. 

We decided to walk from Maspalomas to Playa del Ingles this morning. Our route passed the botanical gardens and there was a large number of Monarch butterflies, clearly visible as we walked past. With free entry to the gardens, why wouldn't you take the camera inside? It appears the local Monarch is their largest butterfly and these were certainly much larger then in the UK.

On the way back, passing the Maspalomas Pond Reserve, we spotted the extra spoonbill in mid-stride.

Once again, no featured human blip victims!
