Nottingham

MONDAY

Our flight back home from Cyprus yesterday evening was delayed by five hours due to a power cut at East Midlands Airport so, rather than drive home at silly o'clock, we booked an extra overnight stay at the Orchard hotel which is on the Nottingham University campus. I've stayed there a few times now and always like the place.

I nipped out before breakfast to take this shot. It was still misty and the trees were dripping wet with dew. After breakfast we went for a walk round the university parkland and then back to the hotel for a cappuccino before driving home.

The Nottingham Forest squad arrived at the hotel whilst we were having coffee. They have a key match with rivals Derby County this evening.
