Penallta Colliery
A local landmark on the outskirts of Caerphilly, passing by I stopped to take a photograph. It's Penallta Colliery, a disused pit head from the mining era. It's preserved as a legacy although not open to the public it's good to see it kept.
It's been another day of catch-up: sending off unused foreign currency, taking in my travel laptop for an estimate to the screen I smashed by dropping it on a concrete floor staying at Rorkes Drift (it looks like it's been in a battle!), and popping to Cardiff to visit my elderly parents,
