Private Wojtek

I became aware of the story of Private Wojtek the Polish army bear in Edinburgh where his statue is memorialised in Princes Gardens (extra taken last summer).  An animated film of his life is being made see here which everyone who does not know the story must see when it comes out. Meanwhile I can enjoy my very own Wojtek, featured here.  I blame Mr P's cousin who lives in Cockermouth where there is shop selling the  "Charlie Bears" range of bears (she has a few). When I saw  Wojtek in the shop window I could not resist giving him a home.
