Down to the wire
Mono Monday this month has been hosted by Laurie54 - thank you. This is my tenuous take on down to the wire. It seems the saying comes from horse racing. Well I don't think they used wire as a finish line for greyhound racing, but this letter rack I have sprung to mind. We used to have greyhounds before our current dogs. One of them was a rescued ex-racer. From the way he used to sleep on the setee all day, you'd be hard pushed to think he could run fast. But we regularly took him on locations where he could be let off lead and allowed to stretch his legs in racing mode. Usually ended up running round in big oval shapes!
Now off to think of themes for next month. I volunteered to host Mono Monday ages ago, and it's come round alarmingly quickly!
