How many dogs?
This was the question we asked each other as the young farmer on the quad bike sped down the hill.
I was out with the Hexham Walks for Health today. The walk was on the ridge above Haydon Bridge. At home we were in dense mist, but on the tops it was sunny with long views over the mist in the valley bottom. There was no wind - almost unheard of. I had a good time and met some new people. Also, Veronica, who was on the team I worked with in Hexham, was there. It was delightful to catch up and to hear about her family, especially Tom in Katmandu.
I did a bit of shopping in Waitrose (how easily do you mount up £60 in there?!) before coming home.
Tonight it's been a Natural History night at the Tynedale Photo Group. As usual people surprised us with the variety of work and the imagination or new ideas they had. Geoff had photographed a wall in Hexham, having seen lots of shapes in the algae - the equivalent of shapes in clouds methinks. What was he on at the time?? It was a great evening.
Count the dogs in my image carefully - you may be surprised.
