Subaru

Known as The Seven Sisters or Pleiades this star cluster goes by the name of Subaru in Japan. It is 444 light years away from us and about 150 million years old.
I tried to get away from some of the worst light pollution where I live by getting up onto the moors. Although the skies were better the glow from Greater Manchester still lit up the heavens with an orange glow. I messed about using my phone attached to my small spotting scope to see what snaps I could get: this was one of the more successful ones.
