Mono Monday - Down to the Wire

It's ok. I know some of you won't be happy, but I'm not able to avoid the obvious issues currently stagnating the UK. We are rapidly running down to the wire, as our inept or corrupt (you choose, both is an option) leadership runs down the clock to no-deal Brexit.

The issue has perhaps become one of pride now, as we all stand on our sides waving the flags of our tribal allegiances, unwilling to find middle ground and incapable of compromise. And I fear I'm just the same.

How will we heal this schism, once we've jumped one way or the other? The cheese wire severance of what was once a united kingdom from the mainland we were once connected to and that our ancestors fought for.

It's a peculiarity of British humour and phraseology, borrowed recently by Spike Lee... we are obsessive tea drinkers, and sometimes the brew is too bitter. But we are down to the wire. 32 days to go...
