A common behavior

These two little Sandhill Cranes are only 3 and 4 days old.  Siblings often fight constantly the first week .  They compete for food and sometimes it gets very brutal..    They are so adorable that it is hard to watch them be so mean to each other.    Momma just lets it go because she knows it makes them stronger and the journey to adulthood is not an easy one for the little cranes.    I am grateful that we found the nest and get to watch them grow up.
