Drip, Drop, Blow the Roof Off!

Dear Diary,

Despite our cold temperatures, the sun is getting warmer by the day so we have some melting wherever the sun touches.  Right now, it is blowing a gale with wind gusts of 50mph+ at times.  So far, by some miracle, the power remains on here although it is out in many other places as trees and large branches take out power lines.  I guess it will keep up all day.  I may have to dodge falling branches on my way to town today!

Still, the sun is shining and there are still wonderful things to see, like a tiny drop of water clinging to a twig.  Sometimes it is good to focus on the small things.
