El Coleccionista

A rather more sedate day today. We took ourselves back to the Parque del Buen Retiro in the morning and a hired a rowing boat for a little while (no queues today) and then wandered up towards the railway station to have Bocadillos de Calamares at El Brilante (apparently it's a Madrid institution, certainly the sandwiches are great.) In the afternoon we did some shopping (this place was closed, unfortunately), availed ourselves of the terrace and then went back to the Pez Gordo (somewhat earlier in the evening this time) to sample the things we'd missed on the menu last night...
