The Prime Meridian
It was one of the warmest ever days recorded in the month of February, which complemented the wonderful view of London looking from the hill by the observatory. This followed a lovely afternoon and evening spent with friends the day before, meandering up and down the South Bank.
Greenwich Park is where I spent a lot of my formative years and it certainly brings back memories - and especially of the fine pubs down in the village.
It is a mystery for how this can be so idyllic, given the chaos inflicted upon us by our political classes. How can we build all this - and then be so careless with it all. History (involving all the key political actors/social and economic saboteurs of our times) will make interesting and depressing reading in a few years time.
It is a timely political wake up call for all of us - happening in parallel with the environmental neglect and mis-management of the planet.
We are but a small blip in geological and biological time.
