Kingfisher

It's been another beautiful day but I had plenty to do at home, so I resisted the temptation to go out until mid afternoon when I went to investigate a different part of the river in the hope of photographing a kingfisher - I wasn't disappointed! I was so thrilled when he perched on a branch on the same side of the river as I was, if only briefly - and in the golden light shed by the setting sun! It's years since I got a half-decent kingfisher shot :))
