Wakatipu was aroused

I awoke this morning to the sounds made by strong wind, waves on the lake crashing onto the beach across the road from the hotel, and occasional rain. And that is what greeted me when I had my third morning run in a row. Fortunately there was little rain, so the camera was safe from the elements. The wind slowed me, but was otherwise relatively benign. The waves were bigger than I have previously seen on Lake Wakatipu. My photo shows the force with which the water hit against the wall here.

The Class of 69 Conference ended at midday today. S and I spent a pleasant afternoon with friends before a late afternoon flight back to Auckland. A light meal, a blip, and then off to bed.
