Goldfinch prefers chopped nuts to niger seeds

Having seen this enlarged I must remember to clean the mirror! My neighbour put out chopped nuts a while ago and the goldfinch tribe prefer to go to her table than mine so I have had to to put up different feeding stations to try and entice them back. Competitive neighbours eh! Maybe the birds don't like the dirty mirror...
