Where will they go?
This is the view from my window to the house across the street. The shadows on their roof are cast by mine.
Loft-Inspector visited yesterday with his boss. It all began to resemble the later scenes from “E.T.”; including space helmets with integral battery-pack breathing apparatus and full-body white overalls.
It has been agreed that the only practical access is through the hatch in my hallway ceiling and so my hallway will need to be tented out. Very exciting!
The birds themselves will have such a strong homing instinct that even after they are barred access to the loft, they will most likely return to perch on the roof, and attempt to gain access by any available means.
I realise therefore, that if I wish to have my windows open during the increasingly warm weather, I shall need to make screens which will allow the flow of air while preventing access to every form of flying creature.
That's OK, I know how to do that. Nice to have another little construction project to think about.
