Steaming with Parrots

Continuing this weekend's curious correlation of family celebration and garden railway'ers.  The family spent most of the day doing various quizzes and treasure hunts (most with a 'parrot' theme) that 'Grandad' had set, culminating in one team finding  a tree (a "Parrotia Persica" that we'd chosen - hence the parrottiness of the hunt) to be planted in the garden.

Meanwhile, I and the garden railway couple got things running on the railway - much to the delight, also, of the other party.
