Spring Surprise
As it was a sunny day, I sat in the warmth for several hours, trying to overcome a massive headache I'd woken up with, and recover some sense of sanity after my week away, and yesterday's overly busy day. My brain just wasn't working.
At some point I managed to do some washing and hang it up, but was mightily relieved when I got a text from the father of three children I look after on Wednesday afternoon, giving me the time off. They're not well, apparently. I decided to go town instead, and look for storage boxes for my cards. I have some already, but I wanted something different. Fortunately, I was successful and found some at knockdown prices. Unfortunately, I could only carry home nine at once!
At this point, I took a look at the surprise pot of Spring bulbs on the back step. It had been full of blue irises when I left. Now it's a riot of small daffodils. I wonder what will be next? A happy sight, indeed.
I spent a couple of hours faffing around with my new boxes (yay!) and then it was time to go out to the radical history session. A bit too much history for an evening class, I felt. I also got asked to do another house sit. This year seems to be whizzing past, but that is because I have to keep looking ahead to July, August and even October. Today I'm struggling to even know what day it is.
