The Plough at Rusper
Today I went to my monthly folk singing workshop. It was at Rusper church, and we learnt a rowdy Hillaire Belloc song and a sad farewell love song collected by Lucy Broadwood. She was a Rusper local and is buried at Rusper so we went to her graveside and sang her a song while we were there.
Lunch was in the Plough, opposite the church. It is a fine old pub dating from the 1600's.
Halfway through the day I had a missed call. Turned out to be the news that my husband's aunt had passed away. She was in her nineties and suffering with Parkinson's, so it was a release for her I think.
