Old Market Square

Plenty of people picnicking in the sunshine. They're taking the Big Wheel down in the background - that was what I'd set out to photograph but I liked the Silent Bob character on the far left with his hand over his face...

I was back down later on to see Jason Williamson reading from his lyric collection, 'Grammar Wanker', at Rough Trade. A low-key but very entertaining evening - a new slant on the lyrics and an interesting Q&A that covered everything from the Stone Roses to addiction issues (It was very Nottingham too - when he first asked for questions someone at the back shouted "ave yer put yer bin aht...!?")
