Near Southampton visiting Jamie. Good progress towards understanding his problems, now the work to help him can really begin. No quick fixes but recognising how and then why the brain can drive physical pain opens the door to change

A not uncomplicated day began with a visit to my father-in-law’ at the hospital. His condition has stabilised allowing the possibility of a return home. Palliative care is being arranged We pray that his wish to end his life at home will be realised.

Time spent talking with the team at the hospital delayed our trip south. An accident on the M3 threatened to prevent us attending the meeting in Southampton but in the end we had 30 minutes of phone conversation with the team before arriving and joining in in person!

Life is never dull. Philosophy for Friday or maybe something to put on my gravestone :-)
