A corner of the studio....

Bloody cold today....again.....definitely getting weary of the cold outside, even the house gets pretty cold overnight....we only heat with a wood stove, but no worries....we also have an electric blanket on the bed!!!!

So to get to an interesting and mysterious place with any of these cold wax and oil paintings, i'm realising that the first layer especially is just an under painting and i can't get too attached.   Which is pretty good cos today i just couldn't get the plot with anything i was painting...some days are just like that!   Here's a little selection of the beginnings of some .... for the first time i think, i'm at the point where i don't have a painting that i'm still working on!  

more plow truck problems....man this has been a hellova winter for mishaps!   Terry was out plowing the latest dump of snow and the same tire he fixed a few weeks ago blew again!   he can't figure it out, and of course this always happen just as the sun is going down and he had to just leave the truck where it is!   luckily we don't have anyone coming into the cabins for the next couple of weeks....that is something to be grateful for i guess.
