Can't Keep Away

We went back to Ilkley this morning after we dropped the girls at school, and just happened to pass Betty's again.  When I say pass, I mean enter and purchase - another of their excellent large fruit buns. I don't remember what the proper name is. The one we got yesterday disappeared in moments, and so has the one we got today.

2019 is Betty's Centenary year - 100 years since the original Swiss baker and confectioner opened his first shop. I'm not sure if it was in York or Harrogate - but definitely in Yorkshire.  So it's appropriate that this special Easter egg is decorated with the White Rose of York, and other virtuoso sugarcraft creations.  The reflections in the window were impossible to avoid, unfortunately.

M and K are off to London for the weekend and we are in charge of the girls and the dog. Wish me luck!
