Home access

At high tide the water roars through the gap which is quite exposed at low tide.  The extra shows the houses that can only be reached, usually with a tractor along the beach, at low tide.  Strange way to live.

We walked quite a way along Tautuku Beach and we were the only ones there.  Lovely beach.

Then we were on the road again.  Another extra is of one of the many whitebaiting shacks along the Oreti River near the mouth.
