British Brass Band

Lovely bible study this morning wrapping up our Pastor’s current Identity series. The home groups were discussing the sermons so we could dig deeper and ask the necessary questions!

A full on afternoon, a bit stressful too, but there was this to look forward to at the end of the day.

I met friends Sharon and Marlene in town for dinner before this concert at St John’s.

Sharon’s husband Mike was playing in the brass band. And the Hong Kong Welsh Male Choir were singing too. Celebrating St David’s day. It was a wonderful evening ending with ‘Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah’ with the loudest singing I’ve ever heard, I think! It was powerful and moving.

We had front row seats as we know a singer in the choir and he saved us these amazing seats, couldn’t believe our good fortune especially as I forgot to take my glasses!

Delightful end to a busy stressful week with lots to look forward over the weekend and guests visiting from London for the next week two weeks.
