What a day!! We arrived at Guildhall in good time for L's audition and were told that she wouldn't be finished until after 5:00. I had booked a 3:30 slot at the Tate Britain to see the Don McCullin exhibition, so I went there on my own - via Tate Modern where I was told I was totally at the wrong place. Cue, mad dash to be there on time!
What a powerful exhibition it was! Thank you Arachne, I am so glad I saw it! Several photos reduced me to tears. I admired his views, his integrity, his respect for his subjects. And his strength! How he could carry on in the face of atrocities, without losing his soul. Remarkable! It comes with a trigger warning, and I am relieved that L couldn't see it.
Back at Guildhall, L had just been told that she was selected for the second round! This is extremely good news, whether she ends up being selected or not and will help restore her confidence.
