Cuidad de Las Artes y Las Cièncias

Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences is a complex of huge modern buildings, by architect Santiago Calatrava, just outside the City Centre. On a fine day it attracts crowds of people but is spacious enough to absorb them.

The City sits at one end of a 9km long park, created from the bed of the River Túria, which was diverted after many serious floods.  On a glorious Saturday, the park was being used by people playing rugby and softball, by runners, by dog walkers and Tai Chi enthusiasts.
