Santiago

Lie-in followed by big breakfast and off to tour the city (well a little bit of it).
Walked to the Parque San Cristobal and got the funicular to the top. This statue commands the hill top and gives panoramic views of the city. Too hazy to see the Andes in the east.
Back to ground level and a visit to an ice cream cafe and a supermarket rounded off the afternoon.
Mad hot today - allegedly 31 degrees. Now drinking tea in our air conditioned room.
