Tortuga.

I don't hold by the Meteorological date for the beginning of Spring, prefering the Astronomical. This year the Vernal Equinox is the 20th March in Spain. This tortoise however had other ideas, emerging from some earthy hiding place to enjoy some early sun. The others are still hibernating in a box of straw in the spare room, but this one, Sheldon, couldn't be found when the others were rounded up, and I thought (s)he had escaped to pastures new. Either the change in season was the trigger, or more likely the blasting of the garden walls with bleach and high pressure water jets followed by painting had disturbed the creature. If the warmer spell continues I may let the others out next week.
