Queen of river stones

A sunny, cold, windy day! Inspired by blipper Treshnish and by the secret stone village she found on Mull, Sue and I went west to the Sandy River to collect some river stones to paint with our grandchildren. The banks of the river were frozen, there was ice in the puddles, and this stone wore a corona of frost. We laughed at ourselves, numb-fingered and shivering, hauling home sacks of icy cold stones.
