ChugachStatePark-on-foot
Clouds were attempting to push in this afternoon. The photo is dark, but the colors are not true. We walked a loop of connecting trails we've taken many times, on skis more than on foot, and in the past with our dog who is no longer with us. Our friend who originally introduced us to the loop came along. We enjoyed his company for a change. His health has kept him from joining us. Afterwards we shared popcorn and some gin drinks he makes.
I will add a photo of our dog from a year ago on that trail, March 3rd, 2018. I am not sure if the rules allow me to add an "extra photo" from a different day. She is no longer with us, so a current photo might require a seance. She is dressed for St. Patrick's Day (scarf), courtesy of her groomer. She loved to get outdoors, even at 14.
Within the first mile of our hike, we encountered two people, separately, that my husband worked with in the past. One was his first boss when he went to work for the company in 1984 in Texas. Sometimes this town seems very small. You can hardly go somewhere and not see someone you know, at the airport, the grocery, a concert, Costco, etc.
