Mission Clock
For years I have built clock cases, in my "woodworking phase". Heather's parents, when they were alive really enjoyed antiquing - going around to garage sales and estate sales and looking for unusual or unique things that they enjoyed. Somewhere along the way they found this mission clock - a few of the numbers missing, and it was quite a mess when they first acquired it. But after refinishing the case, adjusting the numbers and using brass nails for some that are missing, and lubricating the movement, amazingly it worked! And actually has kept on working for probably 20 years or so. It is one of the many things we hang on to that are great remembrances of Heather's parents, and mean far more to us than whatever it would actually be worth.
