The Herd

In the course of today's walk I noticed out of the corner of my eye some motion across the fields. A moving tractor had spooked a herd of deer. Even with a long lens this was as close as I could get to them. Walking the round about way and across the snow clad fields failed to find them a little later. They had simply vanished.
