Carskey

Grocery shopping over we headed south to Carskey for our regular Sunday beach walk.
At Carskey we headed down towards the beach carefully negotiating the steep drop off to the beach. It has been like this  since an Easterly storm came a few weeks ago and washed away the easy walk down to the beach
We passed a couple who seemed to be swithering as to whether they would negotiate the climb down to the beach.
The man smiled and said something to the effect that it all looked a bit crumbly.Beachcomber briefly explained about the storm and pointed out that it was possible to manage down at the corner of the old slope. He thanked Beachcomber but said they didn't fancy trying.
It was only later when we were down on the beach that Beachcomber asked me if I had recognised the man which I hadn't.
Turns out that the chap was the actor Jon Morrison who appears as DC Kenny Lockart in the television version of Vera by Ann Cleeves. Beachcomber had recognised him as soon as he turned to speak to him and his distinctive voice had confirmed it :-)
I always remember him from the 1975 play "Just Another Saturday''.
We walked along to the far end of the beach and back enjoying the waves and the spray.
Later this afternoon I was painting.
Thank you for your very positive response to my latest painting which is very encouraging :-)
