New carpets

The carpet man came to put the old carpet back down in M’s bedroom and fit the new ones in the back bedroom and stairs.

When M arrived later, there was a puddle of water dripping through the ceiling in the lounge! She had to pull up the new carpet in the back bedroom to find the leak.

Later, I cleaned her original cleaner with a Vax carpet cleaner that would only suck up the dirty water if I pushed it backwards ( rather than pulling backwards as shown on the YouTube video I watched to see how it worked! ) with my foot applying pressure on it - 4 passes per strip! It took me about an hour ....
