The sky blushes

Last night, I was due to meet with some others and look at some festive writing. I had to call off but saw dynamic earth instead. One of the pieces I wanted to read was 'December' a poem by Carol Ann Duffy. It contains the verse

The sky blushes,
and lays its cheek
on the sparking fields.

That might have been on my mind this morning when I opened the curtains and was greeted by a warming pink sky. After taking the shot, I became distracted and when I returned, the moment had gone. I suspect a few more seconds and it would have exactly matched the poem.

In this case, I decided that 'nearly' was good enough.
